Education is all a matter of building bridges.
Ralph Ellison

At the congregation where I work,
we're doing a wonderful revamping of our educational opportunities.
In this first phase of revamping, we have a special focus on children and teens;
I look forward to a time down the road when we will have the time and resources
to focus on adult education opportunities, too.

As we've worked together, talked, and brainstormed,
we've thought a lot about what qualities make for a strong educational program.

As I pondered this quote from Ellison, I realized how much it sums up my own thoughts on
learning and growth.

Education is about building bridges....
between existing knowledge and potential knowledge,
between fear and hope,
between the unknown and possibility.

Exciting stuff.
