Sparta: Historical Home Walking Tour

Happy, joyful weekend to you.

Saturday has arrived. My platelet numbers are coming up and up. All is well.

The more major blog format updates are delayed until I get a couple true non-hospital vacation days August - until then, I'll keep posting most days. The entries in the meantime will cover a casserole of topics and themes. I hope you'll enjoy and stick around. I appreciate your readership. Very, very much.

When I woke up this morning, I felt overwhelming gratitude to be in my own bed.

I do not recommend hospitalizations. But they do have a way of immersing a person in the waters of perspective and gratitude. And I feel like I have a bit more of both.

One more post-Sparta post. My mom (Pam) and I did a walking tour of historical homes while we were there! I believe the brochure & map were created in the 1970s or 1980s, but it still worked great. It was fun to wander around Sparta and see all the lovely, historic homes. I love tiny houses, but I am also fascinated by giant houses.

Here's my last set of Sparta pics.

My goals for the weekend: deep clean the entire house, write a column for the paper, and nap. Bonus idea: figure out how to cook some beef liver.

    1. Amen, Renae! I agree! They were awesome. Though I'm sure the maintenance is pretty intense. Miss you. Hope to see you soon. I come to Costco at least once a week!
