Good morning!
Great news - GUESS WHAT?!?! I have 73,000 platelets! *rejoice*
Apparently I need to go on vacation all the time! :) The IVIG treatment really worked great this time. I'm hoping the counts will stay up, up, up! I meet with my doctor on Thursday, and hopefully we can make a great new game plan. And really, I do think the game plan needs to involve more relaxing, reading, ocean time (slightly challenging in Minnesota), wine, laughing, hot tubs, sand, and BET television! Those categories were all part of my vacation, and I think they really did they trick!
Here's my Reverb#10 project: December 7 – Community Prompt: Community. Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011? (Author: Cali Harris)
Community is such an important part of life, and in the transition from Chicago seminary life to small town Minnesota pastor life, community has played a significant role. It has been a year of "starting over" in many respects (while being intentional about maintaining friendships from high school, college, seminary, and internship as well).
In the past year, I've developed a great bond with several ladies in the area. New friendships definitely take time to grow, but I feel like some beautiful seeds have been planted over the past year. Also, the congregation I serve is a place I've discovered community, too. Twitter & the blogging world have been fantastic outlets, and I am truly thankful for friendships that stretch across keyboards and miles.
In the community year, I'd love to connect with a yoga community! It's a huge life goal. I wish there were one in the town where I live, but the nearest yoga studio is about 22 minutes away. But I do love it there, and if I could just get into the pattern of going, I know I'd adore it. It would also be neat to connect with a photography or writing community.
