Trees & New Hair?

(photo taken yesterday at that meeting I went to)

I stumbled across this beautiful poem today.

"The Trees" by Philip Larkin

The trees are coming into leaf
Like something almost being said;
The recent buds relax and spread,
Their greenness is a kind of grief.

Is it that they are born again
And we grow old? No, they die too,
Their yearly trick of looking new
Is written down in rings of grain.

Yet still the unresting castles thresh
In fullgrown thickness every May.
Last year is dead, they seem to say,
Begin afresh, afresh, afresh.

Also, I am considering this haircut and color. Or just the color. Or just the cut. Or neither.
I'm just feeling like I might need something new in my life.
Maybe I should just make an extra payment on my student loans.
Or, maybe I should go for it.
Thoughts? Suggestions? It seems like a cute, flattering haircut - good for the summer season. I've never had my hair that short. Also, I don't "exactly" have the same lovely face as this gal. :)

In other news, the baccalaureate service at the high school went GREAT tonight. I got to preach for all the seniors and their families and friends. It was fun. Oh, to be 18 again...

  1. "Begin afresh" says the poem. Get the hair cut. And I might too! :)

  2. You can absolutely rock that cut! Probably the color, too, but I like your color now better.

Thank you for the poem, too.

  3. Cute style--I say cut it! The good thing about hair is it always grows back if you don't like it!

  4. I have a pretty similar "do" and I'd say go for it. It's summer and you'll love it!

  5. Wow ladies! I should type about my hair more often! :) This is more comments than I've had in ages. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your suggestions. I'm going to think about it a little more, and then figure something out for tomorrow. YIPEE!

  6. You can MOST definitely work that hairstyle. I think the color would look fab too. Love the bangs on the style. Change is good for the soul, and hair grows out again....so what's to lose?!! ;)
