Fantastic Sams

These days, I'm all about saving money. Coupons: big fan. Ibotta: yes, please (sign-up here - you earn $10 right off the bat). Selling items on Craigslist: I'm 100% 'bout it, 'bout it.

Hair, though...I've been hesitant about saving money on my hair. I have color-treated hair and it's fine and breakable. I'm protective of it because I've fried it a time or two along the way.

But, when Cub Foods had a $13 haircut coupon to Fantastic Sams on the back of the grocery receipt, I thought I'd give it a try. It had been about 3 months and I was due for a basic trim.

And guess what? IT WAS LITERALLY THE BEST HAIRCUT EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD IN AGES!

Candy, my stylist, was so good! Experienced, personable, and efficient.

Most of all, she expressed a clear understanding of fine hair! I really enjoyed my haircut, and saving a few bucks was a bonus. I'm not sure yet if I'll go back when it's time to address my highlighting outgrowth, but I might.

Getting a haircut at Fantastic Sams with a coupon was a great learning experience for me. Great haircuts can happen at multiple price points. I like Rochester's fancier salons, too. But my experience at Fantastic Sams was top-notch.

Where's your favorite place to go for a haircut? How about a highlight or color?

  1. I always go to Sam's, not only because they are cheap, but because they do a great job. Glad you found a place where you could save money and still get a great cut.
