I love these friends! We had some orchard fun on sunny Saturday.
Things I learned:
-I LOVE PICKING APPLES! It is so fun. Why have I not been doing this every year?
-This is a beautiful time of year.
-Friends are a true gift from God.
-I STINK at corn mazes. Honestly, terrible. I am terrible.
Any good apple recipes to share? I have a bunch to use!
I worshiped this morning at Zumbro in Rochester.
What a thought-provoking Gospel text: Matthew 18:15-20!
The Prayer of the Day really spoke to me today.
"God of healing and hope, the world in which we live is broken and hurting. Heal the hurts within us and among us so that we can be sources of healing for others."
Are you ready for a new week?
The weather was so perfect the last two days; sometimes I wish the weekend could extend indefinitely!
Sleep well.
We've been making a lot of applesauce and cider. Helps to have the equipment, though! Slicing apples, add a little sugar and freeze in a bag. 4 cups makes a good size pie. Maple apple jam, as well.

DeleteI've made coffee apple cake, apple walnut cake, apple pie, apple crisp, applesauce (in a crockpot) and apple butter. All really good! I'll share the recipes :)
