Word of the Week

Word of the Week

Hello; I imagine you're reading this on Friday! I'm spending the day in the Rochester Civic Center at the Southeastern Minnesota Synod Assembly. A lovely lady asked if I would do some article writing about the assembly for the synod's website; bonus! It's a great opportunity to work on my writing skills; journalist-style. For several years I've said my dream job would be: pastor-writer-infomercial host-yoga teacher-song writer-This American Life contributer-hippie gardener. I'll take any opportunity I can get to keep chipping away at that "writer" dream...and all the rest of them, too.

It's time for another new weekly feature! My goal is to keep this blog a place you enjoy clicking back to each day. The plan is to share a different feature every Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays will be whatever randomly strikes my little fancy. I hope this will be an enjoyable schedule.
Monday: Music Monday
Tuesday: Cookin' it Old School
Wednesday: Diaries of a Pastoral Fashionista
Thursday: Thankful Thursday
Friday: Word of the Week

Word of the Week is interactive. Every Friday I'll randomly choose a new word. Then, your assignment is to have your phone or camera with you throughout the week, and capture images that relate to the word.

I think it will be great. Many of you are wonderful photographers, and I'd love to feature your work! Also, the photos don't even have to be all that great! Don't worry about that at all. Just try to capture the word of the week and have fun!

You can email me your photos (emily.carson(at)gmail.com), and I'll share them with everyone next Friday. If you'd like, I can also share a link to your blog along with your photo. The photos can be of people or objects or nature. They can be edited or unedited.
