Patience

Sun

Patience is the surest antidote against calumny.
Sooner or later all will discover the truth. - French Proverb
(I just looked up the meaning of calumny; it's: "a false and slanderous statement)

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. - Jean Jacques Rousseau

In the last few days, the topic of patience has come up several times in my life. This is leading me to the conclusion that perhaps patience is an attribute I need to work on. I'm pretty patient on the outside, but sometimes I'm not very patient on the inside.

I've decided that this week will be "Internal Patience" week. I don't have a specific game plan about how to become more internally patient, but merely striving to improve in this area will probably help a bit. Would you like to join me? Two things we will definitely have to do during IP week are: #1 - breathe more and #2 - let things go instead of over-analyzing, blaming, regretting, and dwelling.

Here we go - if you have any patience tips, please post a comment.

P.S. - THANK YOU very, very much for the basil ideas! I adore them!
