Art All Around: Into the Wild

Movie Review: Into the Wild

This is a fantatic film based on a true story.
It's intense. It's poetic. It's beautiful. It's haunting.
This film centers on the story of a young man who graduates from college,
donates his savings, burns up his remaining cash, and heads out to travel on foot.
He savors life - he eats it up. He lives.

I liked this movie for many reasons. I'm still thinking about it today - 4 days after I watched it. To me, that is often a sign of a very good film.

Watch it. But be prepared. Like I mentioned, it's intense.

Final Rating: 8 stars out of 10

  1. We haven't seen the movie, but have you read the book the movie's based on? Andy owns it and said it was good. I've read others by Jon Krakauer (the author)--Under The Banner of Heaven was terrific.

  2. The book is a million times better than the movie, and I agree that the movie was great. I HIGHLY recommend it.

  3. I am so excited to read the book, ladies. Interestingly, it just so happened that on a home visit yesterday the topic came up, and the couple let me borrow their book! Perfect!
