New Music.

Hello! I wrote a song over the weekend, recorded it with some free software on my computer (sorry the sound quality isn't great), and posted it over on the left of this blog. See it? Be forewarned - you'll have to turn it off manually after you hit play otherwise it will keep repeating.

The song was inspired by memory loss and aging and elderly care facilities:

"Stolen"

I used to be a little girl,
And I wonder if I am her now.
Have you seen my grandmother around here?
She's very sweet. And she gives me treats.
I like to spend time in the flowers,
I miss the cold blast of the air.
Month after month I sit here,
waiting for life to be fair.

My memory's been stolen,
or did I just happen to forget it?
The moments pass quickly in the fog where I spend all my days.
Please hold my hand so I know I won't disappear.
Can I leave here beside you?
Can you take me home where I'm clear?
And can you tell me your name again?

How did you get here?
And why are you talking to me?
Do you know my daughter or mother?
I think they've forgotten me.
The lightning is striking.
Do you really think God hears your prayers?
The horses will take us to heaven,
sit beside me dear.

My memory's been stolen,
or did I just happen to forget it?
The moments pass quickly in the fog where I spend all my days.
Please hold my hand so I know I won't disappear.
Can I leave here beside you?
Can you take me home where I'm clear?
And can you tell me your name again?

My memory's been stolen,
or did I just happen to forget it?
The moments pass quickly in the fog where I spend all my days.
Please hold my hand so I know I won't disappear.
Can I leave here beside you?
Can you take me home where I'm clear?
And can you tell me your name again?
Can you tell me your name again?
