Invisible Cities

Monday = Monday. Has your Monday been surprising or uniquely fantastic? I hope so. Thus far, mine has been quite average.

This afternoon I spent about 15 minutes on my Creative Everyday project. It's an assignment from Keri Smith's book How To Be An Explorer Of The World. The assignment is on page 99, and states, "Invisible City: Using your imagination, create a portrait of your city or town in which everything that you encounter is magical, exaggerated, or slightly altered from reality. Use whatever documentation method you prefer." Below is what I came up with. I used a picture from last week and made a magical squirrel night club out of it. Maybe if you click on it, it will show the larger size of the picture.

Here's an interesting story I came across today: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090309/ap_on_re/rel_religious_america

I'd be curious to know your various thoughts on it. I was wondering if the survey had used the word 'spiritual' instead of 'religious', would the results have been different?

  1. What do I think about the survey? I think that no matter what the surveys show God's kingdom will continue to grow and prosper around the world (and in the US, too).
As the saying goes - I read the end of the book: we win!
And I enjoyed your CED offering, too!
