and not be moved by You?

Greetings!

I've now been in southern IL for about 2.5 months. Life in Marion, as the intern of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, has changed and is changing me. And I think that's probably what ministry is all about - allowing God and people and creation to mold us and transform us in new ways.

It all overwhelms me on an almost daily basis. The kind of overwhelming feeling when my stomach tightens up and a lump forms in the very back of my throat. And I just absorb and stand in awe of the mighty and surprising ways that God is working. The opportunity to be in ministry with the people of God is the honor of my life. I have literally no idea how I ended up here, and I also can't imagine being anywhere else.

I downloaded a Lifehouse song yesterday entitled "Everything" - there's a line I find very applicable. It reads: "How I can stand here with You, and not be moved by You?"
