Highlights from the Desert Botanical Garden

Desert Botanical Garden: This was one of our first stops of the trip, and it was a perfect orientation to the desert. I had been there before with my wonderful pal, Liz, several years ago on a 103 degree July afternoon. It was awesome to be back and explore it with Justin - this time in December. Next time I'd love to go in the spring when the flowering cacti are blooming! 

 There were many different sections of the park with gorgeous gardens and statues! Definitely take a copy of the map when you arrive; it's very helpful! We only were able to spend about 2 hours at the Desert Botanical Garden because they were preparing for a special event at the park, but it was still well-worth the visit. 

Be warned, though, the price tag is about $25.00 a ticket. That being said, it's worth it! And it would definitely be a place to spend a full day if possible! The gift shop is gorgeously curated, too.
