Monday, Monday

Good Monday to you.

Thinking of the people in Houston and the surrounding area as they deal with Harvey. Here's one way (of many) to help and support: Lutheran Disaster Response.

Over the weekend we were in Nevada, Iowa for my brother and sister-in-law's wedding reception. It was a lot of fun and so special to see family and celebrate Josh and Sweta and their love.

Mom arranged for us all to stay at a really awesome bed and breakfast called "Queen Anne." Very cool interior and exterior. Very historic, too. And Nevada has an arcade. We went on Saturday night after the reception. Family bonding time!

Here's a link to the most recent Post-Bulletin column. It's about Gold Rush. Such fun!

Last Thursday I went to The Launch Project at Good Earth Village. It was really fun to see my seminary professor, Dr. Monica Coleman. She talked about her new book, Bipolar Faith, and she also explored themes of loss. Excellent!

One other quick update - last week Justin and I watched the movie The Zookeeper's Wife. It is intense and emotionally draining - and beautiful and great. I definitely recommend it!
