First off: Minnesota is a great state. I started falling in love with Minnesota when I moved here at the end of July 2009. I have fallen more and more in love with Minnesota each day since then.
Second: Here's today's newspaper column. The topic: disappointment. I can definitely understand and appreciate that while about 60,000,000 people are elated today, there's about another 57,000,000 who are disappointed.
Third: Here are some photos from the last few days! There were a few moments during the conference when I got teary with thankfulness. Life is just so unique! 3 years ago I was at my first theological conference, and I didn't know anyone. This year, as I looked around the room at all those church leaders, I thought,"Thank you, thank you, thank you, God." I am so thankful for great pastor friends who inspire me every day to live joyfully and serve faithfully.

Dan and I before worship on Monday morning.
(Please excuse my scary eyes.)
He was the best worship assistant ever.

This is Anj! She was my roomie at Theological Conference!
We went for a walk on Monday evening around sunset.
It was lovely!
I went out with some great pals for dinner on Monday. I can't remember the name of the place we went in La Crosse but they had over 400 beers available! I picked this one.
We played pool in the hotel saloon.
When I arrived back at church Tuesday afternoon, I had mail! Two lovely letters sent from column-readers in the southeastern Minnesota area. I definitely teared-up with gratitude as I read them. I am so, so, so thankful for the folks I've been able to meet and correspond with through that column.
I voted. As I stepped into my little booth, it felt like a sacred moment.
I am thankful to live in a country where I can vote.
