Today I followed life's path into a new experience. Workshop leading! FUN!
I've done a lot of public speaking and adult education in the congregational setting.
But leading a workshop on this particular topic was new for me, and I loved it.
I led two, 80-minute workshops on the topic: "Why Blog?"

The participants were fabulous! Both groups were really thoughtful, fun folks! They were all in Rochester for a one-day event called "BE HEARD: Communicators Workshop." Katie, the event's primary organizer (and staff member of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod of the ELCA), did a fabulous job. When she invited me to present a few months ago, I was so excited for the opportunity.
I hope to continue exploring this pathway and growing as a presenter/workshop leader/public speaker. It is so life-giving to collaborate and share ideas with other groups of people.
I have been feeling like God was leading me to develop this skill-set,
and I'm so thankful for a few recent opportunities that have come up!
What new pathways has God been leading you down?
Is there a new skill you want to develop?
Gardening? Public speaking? Swimming? Meeting new people?
Whatever the goal, take a step in that direction today....

And a wonderful job you did. I was in the second group - did not speak much though. :) The fact is...I have a blog and do everything wrong on it so I'm discourged. :) I need to start anew, I think. So, thanks for the tools and information. You were so great to listen to and so fun. -Kim
