My Lovely Morning Blunder

It happens to everyone at least once, right? Daylight savings blunders!

I do blame a lot on US Cellular, though. I use my cell phone as my alarm clock. Usually, it works great. Today...not so much. US Cellular set the time on their cell phone towers back an hour last night - even though daylight savings isn't until next week. They did admit the blooper: statement from US Cellular.

All in all, everything still worked out great! I got to church by 8:10am (usually there by 7:20am). Church starts at 8:30am, so I still had time to breathe and quickly collect my thoughts.

Then, for small talk all morning, I was able to be totally self-deprecating about my silly morning blunder. I suppose it's good for me to have mistakes and bloopers sometimes, right? :)

The best part of the morning was my co-workers response when I called, panicked at 7:57am.

I said, "Is it 7am or 8am? My cell phone says 7am, but I think it's wrong."

He said (totally calm and cool and collected), "Well it's just before 8am."

Me (totally freaking out), "Oh no! I'm so sorry! I'll be there as soon as I can. Yikes! Oh dear! Oh no!"

Him (100% peaceful), "Don't worry about it. Take your time. Everything will be fine."

His response was perfect.
I was able to hang up the phone. Collect my thoughts and head to church.
Apparently, I still have a lot to learn about being a non-anxious presence! :)
