For the past week, my beloved car was been getting repaired and I drove a rental vehicle. None of my usual radio stations were programmed in, so I spent the week scanning through the stations and stopping whenever I liked the sound of something.
Surprisingly, I spent a lot of the week listening to country music (a genre I usually never listen to). I think I became a country fan last week! I love how all the songs tell a story. I also enjoy how almost all the love songs are basically perfectly created for a couple's first dance at a wedding reception! Here are some of the best songs I've heard on country stations in the past week:
God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton (It's so so so so so cheesy. I am not sure I like the "theology." But other than that, it's about the cutest song ever. And someday my future husband is going to sing it to me before he proposes.)
Only You Can Love Me This Way by Keith Urban (When did country singers get so handsome? Where have I been? Why am I always blabbering on and on about John Mayer? This is another disgustingly cute song.)
Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood (So sweet. Carrie is precious.)
Love Your Love the Most by Eric Church (This is BY FAR the most "Country" of my choices today. The words make me laugh out loud. But I think it's very sweet. And he mentions french fries and mustard, so you know it's got to be good!)
