Soundtrack of the Week
5 songs I recommend as background music for the next 7 days of your life.
Morning Jam: "Take On Me" by a-ha
(Time to rock out 1980s style, friends. Crank it loud! Put down the curling iron and dance! Also, this music video has "amazing" special effects.)
Theological Persuasion: "Looking for You" by Kirk Franklin
(On Sunday mornings, I would always hear this song on my favorite R & B station in Chicago. Every time I hear it, I instantly feel like I'm driving on Lakeshore Drive on a sunny Sunday morning. It's a perfect morning jam, too!)
Love Me, Love Me Not: "Keep me in Mind" Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan
(Great collaboration! I love Isobel! Such a sweet, airy voice.)
Ridiculously Terrible but Awesome Pop:
(Hello 9th grade! I L-O-V-E-D this song back in the day. Listened on repeat many, many times. I had never seen the music video until I found it on Youtube for this blog post. Hilarious. Oh my. Nice hair, guys. Nice hair.)
Bedtime: "Green Grass of Tunnel" by Mum
(Have you checked out Mum yet? It's about time! Check them out.)
Snack of the Week: Whole wheat tortilla, a banana, peanut butter and caramel
