Exploding with 1980s Happiness

Thursdays are generally reserved for the weekly thankfulness post. But something happened this weekend that deserves its own special post of gratitude!

Guess what song I heard TWICE in once day?!?! Oh yes, that's right, Whitney Houston's top hit "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." Now, it would be one thing if I heard it on my own computer twice in once day. That would be pleasant but not monumental.

BUT INSTEAD, I have something much more random and exciting to report. I first heard the song yesterday afternoon on the local access "announcements only" television station as a background song. JACKPOT! I danced around in total glee and bliss. THEN, a few hours later, I heard it at a Rochester restaurant as a background song! Can you believe that? The same song twice in one day!

It's my favorite karaoke song. And, it's one of my favorite songs of all time! Everything about it is amazing. The catchy refrain. The music video. The high notes. Now truthfully, I love good music. I love amazing acoustic musicians. I love live music sung by people who know what they are doing. But I also love totally cheesy 80s pop music! Every time I watch this music video, my heart explodes with happiness. I hope you've had some totally random bliss this weekend, too!
