There are still 24 remaining minutes of Wednesday in the Central Time Zone.
With that in mind, it's time for "Thankful Thursday."
This week, I am thankful for:
-Gummy Bear-flavored martinis
(yes, really, they exist - with 3 real gummy bears at the bottom!!!)
-Black olives
-Ash Wednesday at the Care Center; 108-year-old Ruth and her most beautiful smile
-A very happy heart
-The band "Local Natives"
-The audiobook version of "Middlesex" (fascinating and beautifully-written)
-Sincere, totally authentic people
-Homemade tortillas during a home visit tonight
(and they sent me home with leftovers; jackpot)!
-Random, heart-warming emails and facebook messages
-New stationary
-The biblical book of Job (a chapter a day - that's my Lenten discipline this year)
-Family time last weekend
-Eggs, especially when they are perfectly cooked over-easy style
Your turn. Please participate. Or I may develop a complex that no one is reading this. Or I'll just feel like a super-duper nerd (even more than I usually do). Ready? Comment with something you are thankful for this week. Our record is 9 comments on a post. LET'S TOTALLY CRUSH THAT RECORD!
