I learned a LOT and got to visit the Mall of America.
I heard a speaker today who REALLY got me thinking.
He raised a lot of really provocative questions for church leaders.
Like: "What if we're trying to answer questions that no one is actually asking?"
Or: "What if our model for church is 100 years old and no longer relevant? If it is relevant, how do we express that relevance?"
Or: "What are we really trying to say/express through our worship services?"
I'm inspired. Truly.
I hope to write a longer post about some of these questions soon.
In the meantime, I have some special words for those of you who read this blog and don't necessarily like church/religion/etc.
Don't give up on church/religion/God yet, okay? Please. Change is coming. And God cares. A lot. And I'm really sorry for the silly/ignorant/hurtful things the church has done in the past and will do the future. There is hope - and God is a lot bigger than the Church.
P.S. Thank you for reading. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
P.P.S. Ke$ha has a new song. Have you heard it? "We R Who We R" I'm okay with the $ sign in her name, but I really wish she would've appropriately spelled "Are."
