Hey there.
Someday I won't talk about platelets.
I mean it.
Really. :)
Bummer: My platelet count dipped down a little further today.
The doctor is concerned. But he said no decisions need to be made today.
I'll have another test Friday, and we will go from there.
I feel healthy and quite happy. In the past, I would be pretty sad or overwhelmed about an update like today's. But - instead - I'm really feeling okay. One way or another, I'm going to be fine. In the meantime, I'm just adding chapters to that hilarious memoir I am going to write: "In These Veins: How I Lost My Platelets and Found Myself."
I'm preaching at a funeral on Friday and a wedding on Saturday, so I don't have time for platelet drama. That's what I told my spleen this afternoon.
I said, "Seriously, Ms. Spleen. You have an attitude problem. Chill out and stop overachieving. You are accidentally killing the good guys! Not the bad guys! STOP EATING MY PLATELETS!"
Do you think she's listening? I hope so. I really really really really hope so.
You need to be even MORE aggressive towards your spleen. Remember what we talked about!
