Happy Friday, dear pals.
Ready for a weekend? I hope so! Because guess what? It's here!
Awhile back (maybe 3 or 4 months), I was really into learning about the Japanese art of bento box making. At that time, I bought these amazing little egg molds in the shape of a star and a heart. To use them, you put a freshly hard boiled egg in the mold, and then when you take it out, the egg is basically in that shape! I didn't actually try it out until yesterday. So fun! The heart molded egg doesn't "exactly" look like a heart, but it does - more or less!
I'm not sure if it's the platelet-growing-steroids I am on or what, but I am LOVING two foods this week: hard boiled eggs and Greek yogurt with honey! I did read that Prednisone can leach the calcium out of one's bones, so maybe my taste buds are trying to compensate. The previously-vegan part of me feels a bit bad about my yogurt & egg consumption, but the rest of me isn't too concerned. I did buy local eggs. I don't have much of a way to justify the mass-produced, non-organic yogurt. Maybe I can buy that local, too? I should at least investigate. I'll see if they have any at the farmer's market tomorrow. Do you have any favorite yogurts? I am really liking the plain Greek-style with jam or honey or granola.
Have a great weekend. Laugh a lot. Love a lot. And whatever you eat, eat it with a smile.
And, of course, give your platelets some lovin'!

Did you know that you can make your own yogurt? I don't know a thing about it, but I know it can be done. You should research it and then let me know! :)
