People Are Interesting: Chris

Chris Tripolino, 27, Cedar Falls Iowa, Disciple/ Husband/ Father/ Worship Leader/ Young Adult Ministry Team Leader/ Technology Team Leader/ Music Instructor/ Singer-Songwriter

1. Where do you feel most comfortable?

Close to my wife

2. Describe your average day in one word.

Whirlwind

3. Who are the people who most inspire you?

Upstream swimmers. Those who seem to live outside of systems-bold prophets, simple tradesmen and women, etc. Really, people who are wholly invested in the Kingdom.

4. What do you love about your work?

I love that at its purest, its focused on others, soaked with worship, and gives plenty of room for the Spirit to rule the garden.

5. What is your most beloved hobby?

Writing music

6. What are you reading?

Right now, my wife and I are reading North! Or Be Eaten by Andrew Peterson, I'm trying to finish up A Passionate Life by Mike Breen and Walt Kallestad, and I seem to be perpetually in a handful of other things-the scriptures, devotional books, theological books, and interesting sort of "on the fringe" books.

7. What is the best advice you've ever received?

Keep your eye on the ball...that was good. Bake the cake before you frost it...I like that one too.

8. What movie or television show do you think everyone should be required to watch?

I don't think anyone should be required to watch TV. I've become a complete weirdo and don't watch it because I get too sucked into it. I do like movies. Maybe Lord of the Rings Trilogy or the Back to the Future Triology or the Princess Bride should be required, but when I think seriously about saying someone really SHOULD watch something, the first movie that popped into my head was Hotel Rwanda.
