Music Review
Artist: Ke$ha
Album: Animal

Every song is catchy. Ridiculously catchy. It's pop music. Totally pop. Dirty pop. And the language has its foul moments. The artist wears provocative clothing and has a general aura of "I really don't care what you think." And her name sports a $ sign in place of an s. There are a million reasons I should not approve of this CD. Especially being a pastor and all.

Regardless, I like it. I like it a bunch; well, most of it anyway. Some of the lyrics are unnecessarily inappropriate.

On the plus side, most of the songs are quite great for in-home solo dance parties. It's a good workout soundtrack, too. To put it plainly: this CD is totally my guilty pleasure! Here are a few things I like about Ke$ha (real name Kesha Rose Sebert):

-She's very smart and her SAT score was very nearly perfect
-Grew up in a single-parent family
-In every interview I've watched, she's really sarcastic
-She did an interview NPR

My 3 favorite songs (with some lyrics):
1. Backstabber (Be forewarned: there are some swears in these songs)
"I'm sick and tired of hearing about my life from other people...honestly, I think it's kind of funny that you waste your breath talking about me. Got me feeling kind of special."
2. Stephen
"Why won't you call me? Stephen, I'm feeling pathetic. I can't take rejection. Why won't you call me?"
3. Animal
"I am in love with what we are, not what we should be. And I am star-struck with every part of this whole story."
