"O Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty."
(Spoken by a Psalmist)
"You will find the baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
(Spoken by an angel talking to some shepherds)
God's style is hard to describe. Sometimes God is wearing splendor and majesty with crowns and golden robes, othertimes She is dressed as a burning bush, and still other times, He wears cloths and sleeps in a manger. Amazing, huh? The Creator of the universe can't really be confined to a particular style: preppy, high-fashion, vintage, classic. God wears whatever the occasion calls for; and it always looks great.
What does it mean that God's appearance can be so adaptable and changing? What do you imagine to be constant about God's appearance? Is there a relationship between your "style" and your faith?
