Fantastic Friday: 'Check It Out' List

It's Friday, friends! We made it through this uniquely fantastic week. Time for my recommendations; then you can share your recommendations as a comment.

Blog-spiration: http://www.kerismith.com/

Listen Up: the all-time best song of all of history and space and time (maybe a slight exaggeration but probably not; it has been my favorite for a very long time): 3 by 5 by John Mayer

Podcast it Please: "Street Stories" episode for 1/18/09 Going it Alone

Take a Look, In a Book: "How to be an Explorer of the World" by Keri Smith (such a fun book!)

Movie Worth Watching: "The Visitor"

My Creative Everyday 2009 project for today was sorting out which of my goals for the year still need to be accomplished. The goals in RED are completed or in process. The rest I still need to do! I think there are 37 goals remaining. Any tips or areas of specialty you have?

48. Cut out paper snowflakes
49. Sew a dress
50. Preach without a manuscript

Have a great day! Thanks for reading; it has been so lovely to get emails and comments from you about the blog. You inspire me.

To conclude; yesterday I bought a picnic mat at the Korean market and then hung it on my bedroom wall. It's adorable and red and completely silly. When I woke up this morning, I actually laughed out loud at its ridiculousness. Hopefully I will wake up every morning laughing from now on. It's a good feeling. The caption under the picture reads: "Miss Rabbit: She is very shy, so she gets her cheeks blush from any small occasion."

  1. Emily, I love your list! The very best brewery tour, I firmly believe, is the Lakefront Brewery tour in Milwaukee. On Friday nights they also have a fish fry and a polka band. Everyone dances, and it is great. We should make a trip there this year, for sure!

  2. Emily,
Love the list of goals. You are so grand. Thomas brews beer (not sure if you knew that) next time you come visit we should go to the summit brewery and you can try a few.
    thanks for the wonderful card.
