Dinosaur Park

Over the coming days/weeks, I'll be sharing highlights and photos from last week's South Dakota adventure. This week, I find myself daydreaming about last week all the time.

It was the most affordable vacation! And such beautiful sights and experiences.

First off, let me tell you about a very random park in Rapid City...complete with giant cement dinosaurs and the most spectacular views of the city.  Dinosaur Park was a WPA project in the 1930s. Admission was free. I believe there were about five big ol' dinos to explore.

The views were breathtaking.

Adam and Eve - my traveling piglets - loved it! :)

Dinosaur Park is a gem of a place and very easy to get to from downtown Rapid City. Mom and I spent about an hour there walking around and taking photos. A nice, quick, happy stop to start off our western South Dakota excursions.
