Cousin Bloggers!

My cousin, Bethany, invited me to answer some fun questions through her blog. Thanks, Bethany!
  • 1.  If you could have an expenses-paid vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
    • This is a great question - but so tough to answer! There are so many places I'd love to see. My trip to Alaska was the best adventure of my life. Outstanding beauty. I'd love to go there again and have more time! I'd also love to go to Tokyo, Chile, Iceland, Amsterdam, Maine, Portland, and San Diego.
  • 2.  What would you like to accomplish by the end of 2014?
    • A sense of peacefulness - and a stable platelet count.
  • 3.  If you had a million dollars, how would you use it?
    • I'd give $100,000 to the Malaria Campaign
    • Pay off my student loans and Mayo bill.
    • A few fun purchases...
    • I'd take a year or two off, pay out of pocket for insurance for a year, and write to my heart's content.
  • 4.  What are your favorite foods?
    • Sprouts, avocado, fresh veggie/fruit juice
  • 5.  What are your favorite quotes and Bible verses?
    • I love Mark 9:23 - "Everything is possible for those who believe."
  • 6.  What is the best advice on life you can give in up to 3 sentences?
    • Build and maintain healthy relationships with friends and family. Ask questions. Believe in possibility.
  • 7.  If you could live in any time period, which would you choose?
    • The present.
  • 8.  What is your dream car and your dream home?
  • 9.  What languages can you speak?
    • English and a teeny bit of Spanish and an even teenier bit of French
  • 10.  Do you have a current occupation; if not, what would your dream job be?
    • I'm a pastor and Director of Communications
  • 11. What cause(s) are you most opinionated about?
    • Social justice (broadly-speaking), environmental issues
  • 12.  Is there any quality you think the Lord is growing in you right now (e.g., patience, love, trust)?
    • Patience, trust, courage

  1. Thanks Emily! I enjoyed reading your answers. The places you mentioned sound like they would be fascinating to visit! Tiny homes are very neat, though I'd never seriously thought of living in one. It sounds like you'd use the million dollars wisely! Love the scripture verse you shared.
