I hope your weekend is filled with delight.
What's on your agenda?
Has anyone seen that new Tom Hanks movie?
Captain Phillips? I think I really want to see it!
If you have time and live in the area, I also encourage a stop at The Doggery! Some friends and I visited last night for a couple hours. It's a new establishment downtown featuring cocktails and other liquors. No food on the menu yet, but they are planning to have snack plates available from a local restaurant in the coming weeks.
If you prefer no alcohol, they're very happy to make any cocktail without alcohol as well. It's a neat atmosphere...a little like stepping back in time, which I think is the goal. The prices are a bit steep but not terrible. It's the perfect place for good conversation and people-watching. And I got to wear my favorite vintage hat from my friend Jan!

Tomorrow's Gospel text is the story of Jesus healing 10 lepers. I've got some sermon thoughts percolating, and they will continue to percolate throughout the day today. I sure like Sunday mornings. They are the perfect time to celebrate Jesus and all the awesome things he said and did.

Visited Lanesboro yesterday. Mega gorgeous. Looking forward to visiting again soon. What are your favorite places in southeastern Minnesota.

Look at this! It's the newest member of my obscure vintage planter family! A lil' bunny from a Duluth antique shop. Yes, that's right..that's a snail in his pocket. And maybe a soda in his right hand? Or a cigar? Who knows? But he fits right in with the others! I love my weird planters.
