Mom and I arrived in Des Moines around 10pm last night!

I found an amazing deal on Priceline for a hotel room for only $25!
And the room was so surprisingly nice. Not sketchy at all.

We got back to Minnesota today around 5:45pm. I'm so glad we went. It was delightful.

While in Des Moines we:
-Went out for coffee/tea
-Updated our cell phone plan
-Visited the Iowa State Capital
-Ate lunch at Hessen Haus
I forgot to have someone take a picture of the 3 of us! So we found a window reflection.
Interestingly, we stumbled across a large protest/gathering while we were at the capital.
