Wisdom at every age.

"Lady Wisdom" by Adam Howie

Like I mentioned yesterday, tonight's worship service is centered on the theme of "Wisdom" and it is based on Proverbs 9:1-6. There just so happens to be a fabulous hymn in the ol' hymnal on the same theme! The name of the hymn is: We Eat the Bread of Teaching. I really like the refrain:

We eat the bread of teaching, drink wine of wisdom, are given here a taste of the kingdom. Together joined, the greatest and the least, we all are one at Wisdom's holy feast.

(SIDE NOTE: BONUS! MY FAVORITE SONG ON MY PANDORA STATION JUST CAME ON! "Breathe In" by Frou Frou! IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT NIGHT; I JUST KNOW IT!)

Another favorite wisdom tidbit to share today: A quote from theologian/philosopher/super-smarty Paul Tillich - "Wisdom is not bound to old age. It is found equally in the young. And there are fools at all ages of life." Amen to that.

Highlights of today:
-Tapioca for breakfast and a mid-day snack
-Meeting other clergy-types at text study
-Hospital visit time
-Vacuuming out my car during my dinner break; I love my car without tiny crumbs everywhere!
-Having silly emails in my inbox
-Getting my new Pastor Emily email address through the church

Gigantic Highlight of yesterday:
-Ice cream social at the Legion Hall; entertainment: The Community Band
