Now for a little extreme excitement: Tonight I got to go to a recording of the Chicago Public Radio program
Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me with my friends Maggie and Mike. I actually only started podcasting it about 4 months ago. Actually, to be totally honest, I was pretty oblivious to the glories of public radio until my pal Lindsey K. introduced me to all sorts of great podcasts. Now I'm a complete addict. I have no idea why it took me so long to realize how amazing public radio and television are! They are the best! Really, I feel like I am much more aware of what's happening in the world, my vocabulary is increasing, and I just feel better. So, that's enough of a commercial for public radio.
If you haven't heard of it or listened to
Wait Wait before, you should check it out. It's silly. It is a 1-hour game show/current events/pop culture/political commentary radio program. I love it. My favorite part of the show is the voice of Carl Kasell. And tonight I got to meet him! The whole experience was really neat; it was good to experience what goes into putting together the show. Here's my Creative Everyday Challenge 2009 project for today. It's a small collage.
Yay! Hard to believe that was three years ago! Although, since I was pregnant and my baby is now two-and-a-half . . . well, you do the math.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me of this great Chicago outing!
